...for me and Mrs. Cookie Monster. S60R and XC90.
Awesome AWD manual turbo sedan for me and a solid SUV for her. Prices are reasonable for both. Best part is, care free parts/service.
Also applicable:
E55 AMG (W210) and ML350
G8 and TBSSAWD
GS460/450h and GX470
..... I think that's it really. Nothing else tickles my fancy for a family fleet.
Though, following our possible realm of dream cars and Tavarish rules, a yellow C6 base for me and a sweet 1950's classic American car for her.

how is the gx470? And the S60r... Wouldn't mind one as a winter car but I don't know much about them.

Lol and it isn't too impossible. Some 2005 C6 base are in the low $20k's and snagging a 50's tankis also doable here in Texas.

not much about the GX I can complain about. The engine is as good as a modern v8 Japanese motor can be. The air suspension didn't really have a lot of issues ever. They are well-equipped powerful and awesome in the city and off road. The s60 R on the other hand had its typical Volvo issues. Nothing I can't repair at home though. The only bad thing is if all the little issues would stack up at once. Even with a parts discount at work and me doing all the work, it can get kind of pricey. All in all they both drive very well, are awesome machines, and with the right maintenance and know how, I guarantee an awesome experience with both.

Volvo question...do all turbo engines require premium fuel? I have a client that says he wants one because it takes regular.
![]() 02/14/2015 at 16:13 |
|
5 cyl T- regular
3.2 I6- regular
4cyl T- regular
3.0T I6- premium*
4cyl Super/Turbo- premium*
*I think the owners manual says 91 octane is recommended but not required.
